Rita Laws, Ph.D.

A writer and advocate, Dr. Rita Laws has authored and co-authored several books and booklets. Her articles on a wide variety of topics, including adoption, education, parenting, collecting, investing, and applied wisdom have been published by numerous magazines, ezines and periodicals. She is an Oklahoma Choctaw Nation registered artist.

A certified teacher and online educator, Dr. Laws has worked as a training professional for several child welfare organizations, and has written online courses for fostering and adoption web sites.

In addition to being a child advocate and adoption activist, Laws writes about numismatics. A member of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee for five years, she advised the U. S. Secretary of the Treasury on coin designs for the United States of America. She also served on the Oklahoma Statehood Quarter Design Selection Committee.

Volunteering in dog rescue is one of her favorite jobs.
